“Leaders wonder about everything, want to learn as much as they can, are willing to take risks, experiment, try new things. They do not worry about failure but embrace errors, knowing they will learn from them.” ~Warren G. Bennis
Such was the spirit of learning in this leader who left for his heavenly abode after leaving a legacy of leadership studies. Warren G. Bennis- an American scholar, organizational consultant and author is rightfully regarded as a pioneer of the contemporary field of leadership studies. Having written more than 30 books on leadership, presidents and business executives from around the world have taken advice from his eminence. He also served as a distinguished professor of business management at the University of Southern California where he motivated young minds to discover the leaders in themselves for more than three decades. Having been born and brought up against historical events like the World War II and the Great Depression of the 1930s, Professor Bennis sought out to seek solutions to the dearth of leadership in America.
Warren G. Bennis passed away to eternal glory last week on 31 July, 2014. The world is in great mourning to have lost a figure who is fondly called the Father of Leadership. He died at the age of 89 in Los Angeles.
Origin Learning salutes the work and mourns the loss of this great soul.
